The Maryland Benefits Counseling Network is excited to announce that recruitment for a full-time contractual Benefits Case Manager position has begun! Please see the detailed position announcement below. The MD-BCN is seeking an experienced and qualified individual to work as a full-time contractual Benefits Case Manager who will provide high-level benefits technical assistance and work incentives counseling to individuals within Maryland State psychiatric hospitals. Candidate must have at least 3 years’ experience providing benefits counseling services and/or entitlements coordination to individuals with Social Security disability entitlements and State public assistance benefits. Current certification as a Community Work Incentives Coordinator (CWIC) or Community Partner Work Incentives Coordinator (CPWIC) or willingness to obtain CWIC/CPWIC certification is required. The ideal candidate will be familiar with Maryland State entitlement and public assistance programs and regulations, flexible and articulate, a self-starter, well versed in benefit knowledge with the ability to effectively communicate information in an understandable way, and proficient in developing new and effective working relationships. The position must be able to be present at both Catonsville and Sykesville State hospitals at least once per week with the ability to work remotely at other times. Candidate must be willing to travel additionally in other areas of the state, as needed.
